Providers are regulated by the Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH), Facility Licensing & Investigations Section. Connecticut licenses an Assisted Living Services Agency (ALSA) to deliver assisted-living and memory-care services within a Managed Residential Community (MRC) (verify at CT DPH's Facility Licensing & Investigations Section). Skilled nursing providers are licensed as Chronic and Convalescent Nursing Homes (CCNH). Medicaid long-term care runs fee-for-service through the Connecticut Home Care Program for Elders (CHCPE) and HUSKY C, administered by the CT Department of Social Services — not through private managed-care plans.
